This was Allen Iverson’s biggest moment of his NBA career and the Lakers had no intentions to make it pretty.

Following yet another NBA Championship in 2000, with a win against the Indiana Pacers, the Lakers had all of the confidence heading into the 2001 title series.

    • Iverson’s over confidence came back to haunt him, as the deadly duo of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant was just too much for the one-man show from the city of brotherly love.

    Keeping the Sixers out of triple digits was clearly a big part of getting four straight wins after losing Game 1 in Philly.

    The 107-100 Game 1 final score was the only Finals for AI, and for someone that talked as much trash as Iverson did, this was his small glimpse of walking the walk.

    And then it came to an abrupt halt and the Lakers were again back-to-back league champs.
