Bob McAdoo was an NBA scoring champion and an NBA MVP before arriving in Los Angeles, but he cemented his Hall of Fame legacy by helping the Lakers win two NBA Championships in the 1980s.

He was the ideal role player and sixth man for a team that included Magic Johnson, Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy. Although he was a former star on the New York Knicks and Buffalo Braves, McAdoo fit perfectly with the “Showtime” Lakers as a fourth-option.

McAdoo gave the Lakers solid minutes off the bench backing up Abdul-Jabbar, and helped anchor two championship teams down low, the first in 1982 and the other in 1985.
