5. Pau Gasol

Pau Gasol was the most skilled offensive big man the Lakers have ever had, which is saying a lot given the rich history at the position. His passing abilities were rarely among big guys, and he ran the floor and stretched the floor better than most centers of his era did.
His ability to play both the power forward and center positions well were also crucial with Bynum often injured and at times not in the right frame of mind.
Gasol had a great offensive post game and was an equally great rebounder. His outside shooting also made him a threat to score from anywhere on the court.
He was the perfect compliment to Bryant and the two of them were largely responsible for the Lakers’ championship teams in 2009 and 2010.
