The Best Breakthrough Athlete Was…

Every year there are athletes that make our eyes pop open real wide.  These players are the new and upcoming athletes that we will be watching for years to come.

These four juggernauts will duke it out for Best Breakthrough Athlete: Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants, Mo’ne Davis from Little League Baseball, Cardale Jones of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and Jordan Spieth from the PGA.

While I love seeing the Buckeyes win the National Championship because my Grandma was a huge Ohio St fan, Jordan Spieth making golf fun to watch and becoming the youngest Masters winner (and recently added the U.S. Open for his second career Major), and three fingered TD catches by a freak athlete in Beckham Jr.

But I don’t think this category is close, but I could be wrong.

What Mo’ne Davis did in Little League Baseball was amazing to watch.

She made the dreams of little girls all over the world believe that they can play a sport they love and be successful at it.

This truly was the definition of a breakthrough and that is why Mo’ne Davis should win Best Breakthrough Athlete.
