The Best Female Athlete Is…

Feb 28, 2015; Los Angeles, CA, USA; Ronda Rousey (red gloves) reacts after defeating Cat Zingano (not pictured) during their women

Women’s sports are growing rapidly year after year.  More and more girls are growing up wanting to play sports and this has led to many women athletes that are just as skilled in their respective sports as men.

The nominees for Best Female Athlete are MMA superstar Ronda Rousey, scoring machine Breanna Stewart from UCONN basketball, the slope master Lindsey Vonn, and 21-time Major winner in tennis Serena Williams.

This was a two women race in my opinion between Rousey and Williams.  Rousey is 11-0 in her MMA career and has beaten opponents in 14 and 16 seconds.  Williams, as said before, has won 21 Major Championships in her illustrious career.

Why can’t both these women win? It’s unfair to choose, but here goes.  The winner for Best Female Athlete is…..Ronda Rousey.  She has taken MMA to the next level.

MMA fans are growing and a ton of people are buying the pay-per-view just to see Rousey fight, even if it is just for 20 seconds.
