The Best Game Was…

Sports fans growing up remember certain games in their lifetime that just stood out.

These games each have have their own magic that made them stand out from the rest.  This is a relatively small category with how many games have been played in the last year, but these three games were all amazing to watch.

The three games that are up for Best Game are A’s/Royals AL Wild Card Game, Spurs/Clippers Game 7 in the NBA Playoffs, and the Super Bowl Patriots/Seahawks.

The A’s/Royals game was crazy to say the least.  It was a gem for Jon Lester, but things turned bad in the 8th inning, and the rest is history.  Royals would make the comeback and eventually make it to the World Series (only to lose sadly).  Spurs/Clippers Game 7…Oh my gosh!  This was one of the best basketball games I have seen.

The decisive Game 7 would come down to the last shot.  Chris Paul would hit a running floater and bank it in with 1 second remaining and the Clippers would close out the defending champs.

Finally, the most watched sports game ever year, the Super Bowl.  This one didn’t disappoint once again.  The Patriots just took the lead against the Seahawks, but the Seahawks were driving.

With the ball on the 1 yard line, Russell Wilson decides to audible and throw a pass instead of handing it off to Marshawn Lynch.  The pass as most, if not all, know got intercepted by the Patriots Malcolm Butler.

With these three games in my mind, I can’t seem to get away from that Spurs/Clippers Game 7.

It was unfair that these two great teams had to face each other in the first round, but what a series it was.  Spurs/Clippers, you are my pick for Best Game.
