While the signings of former 6th man of the year, Lou Williams, and veteran Brandon Bass were solid, they’re also a long shot from the expectation originally presented July 1st.
Bass is a solid veteran who can instill hustle and grind into the young Lakers front court starters and young players as a whole. His mid-range game is one that can space the court for a lot of the scorers off the bench as well.
Williams, with Nick Young and Anthony Brown provide a dangerously fierce shooting rotation off the bench to reckon with.
It may not be star-studded with big names that pop out at you, but these two signings still are solid, despite them seeming to be just bargain bin shopping. The Lakers did not sign any starters, but they did round out their roster with quality depth who can actually play.
