The Schedule

The Trojans enter into the 2015-16 season with two nightcaps vs. Arkansas St. and Idaho at home in preparation to host the Stanford Cardinal primetime on ABC.

David Shaw will have his work cut out for him now that Jim Harbaugh‘s bulk of the load are now gone from a very strong defensive unit.

Stanford will be USC’s first test of the season,  but the Cardinal’s shaky defensive status may encounter troubles in Stanford’s season opening contest on the road versus Northwestern. Regardless, Stanford will be a tough out for the Trojans.

The TRUE test for the Trojans will be the following week of Sept. 26 vs. the Arizona State Sun Devils. On the road vs. a team that will still be in the thick of the South division race, the Trojans will be looking to avenge their last second blunder at home in 2014.

  • The Trojans will feel an early and often taste of Mike Bercovici, who served as a major Achilles heel last year.

From there on the Trojans will have to go on the road vs. rival Notre Dame. There’s also a potential trap game at Cal (likely Halloween night). Then, back-to-back road, cold weather-likely contests in Colorado and Oregon. Not to mention the annual season finale vs. UCLA.

The Trojans learned very consequential lessons from upsets last year on the road, this season will give the Trojans ample opportunity to apply what they’ve learned from those lessons.

Prediction- USC goes 11-1 this season
