To avenge the Arizona St. loss on the road may be tough to pull off for USC. It’s even tougher to fathom the idea that ASU may beat the Trojans 2 years straight.
The Sun Devils will be out to prove that last year’s hail mary win was no fluke and that they belong in the Pac-12 contender conversation. Arizona St. may be in mid-season form if they can win their home opener with Texas A&M followed by two tune-up games before the USC contest.
The Trojans will come into Tempe after what will likely be a tough and/or emotional contest vs. rival Stanford. Thus, meaning the Sun Devils could potentially catch USC at the right time and place.
Prediction: USC loses a heart breaker 34-24 in Tempe.
