The Mets come as the ultimate surprise aside from the NL Central’s ever-escalating dominance.
New York emerges from the NL East a potential victor despite all of the hype that was put into the Washington Nationals before baseball fever even struck.
The explosiveness of Lucas Dada and Curtis Granderson will be the ultimate x-factor for this Mets team if they expect to go far at all.
Having to play at a high level against the obvious starts of Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw, they’ll have their hands full, to say the least, with the Dodgers around town.
Knowing that the Dodgers have not been too successful in the playoffs in recent memory, the Mets may be able to have the mental advantage over the Dodgers.
And that, more than any raw talent, might do enough damage to finish off Los Angeles.
