The Cougars will be replacing Connor Halladay who has moved onto the NFL (practice squad) with the Washington Redskins.

Halladay leaves behind the NCAA Division I FBS single game passing record of 734 yards in a game, clearly indicating the Cougars must replace a kid who can throw a football just a little!

Enter redshirt freshman Peyton Bender and Redshirt Junior Luke Falk.

Falk threw for 5 touchdowns and 471 yards in his first college start in 2014.  Bender, who has yet to play collegiate competition, has impressed many on the Washington St. staff but is 6’0 187 pound frame may not close the gap on the 6’4 205 pound Falk.

Falk also finished the Wazzu season (played the last 4 games) for the Cougars and also has all 5 of his offensive linemen returning to his aid. His downside at this moment is his turnovers, and his lack of veteran targets and chemistry therein.
