One of the best lines in post season history.
What Paul Pierce lacks in his ability to produce on the floor, the 18-year veteran makes up for with shear will and toughness.
Clipper fans know that Pierce will not produce big numbers, but they also know that he brings an attitude to the locker-room that the Clippers have missed in previous seasons.
That is no slight to Chris Paul, who is one of the scrappiest players in the game today.
The thing that Chris lacks in this department is the championship credential that Pierce brings to the table.
Pierce will help add to the cache of a Coach that is already touted as one of the best in the game. He’ll create a new buy-in that will resonate with a group that has little-to-no championship pedigree.
The duo of Pierce and Doc in clutch moments is something special to watch. LA fans vividly remember some of the Truth’s exploits in late game situations. He has faced off and beaten some of the greatest to ever step on the hardwood, including LA’s favorite son, Kobe Bryant.
Not many people have the resume of Pierce, and few have the guts to take the shots that he lives to take.
I’d be willing to bet money that the Clippers don’t lose game five against the Rockets with Pierce on the floor. I’m guessing Doc would be willing to make that same bet.
Paul Pierce will not only be a solid contributor in limited minutes, but he’ll be a crucial piece in any late game playoff scenarios.
