On December 6, 2012, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the New Orleans Pelicans with Kobe only needing 13 points to reach the milestone of 30,000 points.  With the 2nd quarter coming to a close, Kobe would slash into the lane and throw up a right handed runner, a pretty simple shot from the player that usually makes our eyes pop every time he makes a crazy shot.  But like the 29,999 points before this runner, one thing was certain, Kobe will do whatever it takes to score.

This feat is something that Kobe Bryant can always be proud of accomplishing.  The only other players that have scored 30K points: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan, and Wilt Chamberlain.

Having watched Kobe throughout his career, you start to know what is important to him.  Kobe has always wanted to be the best, and he definitely makes his case as part of the 30K point club.  But, the biggest key to this game for Kobe and the Lakers is that they won the game 103-87.
