Paying Homage To Kobe Bryant: One Of The Best

One of the biggest debates over the years has been Kobe Bryant vs. Michael Jordan.  Who is the best? With Kobe’s possible farewell tour this upcoming year, the next game on my list where Kobe starred was his last game against the man who drives him the most, MJ.

The day was March 28, 2003.  Lakers vs. Wizards, yea Wizards.  This would be the last game Michael Jordan would play at Staples Center and the last time he faced off against Kobe Bryant.

I understand that this was not the Chicago Bulls’ Jordan, but nonetheless it was Kobe vs. MJ.  Kobe was in the prime of his career, coming off a three peat as NBA Champions.  Kobe would get the best of Jordan, and it wasn’t close.

Kobe Bryant would go on to score 55 points in a Lakers rout 108-94.  Kobe would shoot 15-29 from the field, making 9-13 from 3-point range.  Kobe also added 16-18 from the charity stripe.

We will see if Kobe can put together some of this magic in this next season.
