He is the other face of the Ducks franchise and is currently the captain of the franchise.

Ryan Getzlaf was drafted as the 19th overall pick in the 2003 Entry Draft. He has spent his entire career in Anaheim and has become one of the franchises top scorers.

Like Perry, he was one of the young guys at the time to lift the Stanley Cup in 2007.

Seven times in his career, Getzlaf has led the Ducks in assists. In the 2008-09 season, Getzlaf reached a career high in that category with 66.

In his early days during the Ducks cup run, Getzlaf would play alongside Perry and Dustin Penner to form the “kid line”, a name the line got because of their young age.

During the playoffs, that line would be the top scoring unit, with Getzlaf leading that line with 17 points, a franchise record.

Getzlaf would make his first All-Star trip in 2008, and would lead the Ducks that year in assists and points with 58 and 82 respectively.

Getzlaf has been described as a power forward with excellent playmaking skills. The Hockey News has described him as a “complete package”.

From 2008 to 2015, Getzlaf has led the Ducks in points in five of those seasons.

He is currently the team’s second leading scorer with 678 points, only trailing Teamu Selanne in that category.
