The Broncos won the AFC West last year going 12-4, following by the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers going 9-7.
The Raiders went 3-13.
Peyton Manning, another year older, will have to be better protected this year.
He was sacked more last year than any other year in Denver.
He has the weapons on offense with Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas, and C.J. Anderson.
Thomas, just off his big pay day, is an elite wide receiver and will most likely post another 1,000 yard year.
Anderson, the Broncos “horse” in the backfield will have to press replay and have the same productivity as last season.
The Chargers finally paid their man, Philip Rivers, in the off-season.
With rookie Melvin Gordon looking to become the next “LT” — yeah, right — but seriously, Gordon was a beast in college and hopefully his game makes the transition to the NFL.
Eric Weddle, debating sitting out because of contract reasons, is back, and they need him.
He is the life of the Chargers defense and needs to make his presence known all year long.
The Chiefs have the agile Jamaal Charles.
He is undeniably their best player, but I’ll give Justin Houston the benefit of the doubt on defense.
It seems that every team Andy Reid coach’s, they always have a solid team.
This is no different.
Tight end Travis Kelce will be the breakout star for the Chiefs.
The biggest thing for the Chiefs…will a wide receiver catch a TD?
I say yea, especially with Maclin joining the team.
The Raiders were actually better than their record indicated.
I saw a couple games last year and was really impressed with rookie quarterback Derek Carr.
Now you give him a stud in Amari Cooper, that offense will be fun to watch.
The question for the Raiders is always the defense. Khalil Mack is unreal.
One of the best linebackers in the game, and he’s only in his second year.
With the time running out on Peyton, I see him going all out this year, and that means another division title. The Broncos will win, but it is a very tough division.
