2015 Record: 10-6 (4-2 in division)

The Chiefs have become a great team in recent years.

With the addition of Alex Smith from the San Fransisco 49ers, this team has gone from being mediocre to a squad that is top-tier competition in the league.

I think this is going to be a stand out year for this team.

This season is going to add a lot of pressure to Alex Smith.

Smith has developed as a quarterback and leader since coming to Kansas City. He is finally on a team that sees him as their “go-to” quarterback.

Since being with Kansas City, Smith has had two consecutive seasons where he threw for over 3,000 yards with 41 touchdowns thrown.

If the Chiefs want to get themselves back into the playoffs they will need Smith to continue to put up great numbers. That will come down to protecting him at the line.

The Chiefs have also had a solid defense and run game the past two seasons.

The Chiefs are looking more like an elite team with the addition of WR Jeremy Maclin, who is known to be a good possession receiver.

Another player that I think is going to stand out is TE Travis Kelce who will add much more to their passing game as he develops as a TE.

With Alex Smith having Maclin and Kelce to link up with the Chiefs will look very elite in the league.
