The Lakers traded for Roy Hibbert and only gave up a future second-round pick along with some money.
This trade is a win-win for the Lakers because Hibbert is on an expiring contract.
Depending on how his season goes, the team could decide to keep Hibbert for the long-term, or to just let him walk away.
The team also signed free-agents Brandon Bass and Lou Williams.
Bass will be a solid backup to Julius Randle.
He will be one of the more physical presence coming off the bench and can help bolster the front court.
Williams won the sixth-man-of-the-year award and can help provide a spark when Kobe takes a breather.
Now let’s get to what we can look forward to.
