One of the biggest story lines coming into this season is whether or not Kobe Bryant will be playing his 20th and final year with the Lakers.
Kobe was drafted 13th overall by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996, but a trade brought him to the Lakers in exchange for Vlade Divac.
Since then, Kobe has done so much for Los Angeles.
He won countless accolades and it was a privilege to have watched him don the purple and gold.
Whether this is his last season or not remains to be seen.
I strongly believe that if Kobe manages to stay healthy and the Lakers have a strong off season in 2016, he could be tempted to re-sign for two years with a player option in the second year.
Regardless of what happens at season’s end, we should all cherish what could be Kobe’s last ride because we will not see another player of Kobe’s caliber.
