Closing Thoughts

Jun 29, 2015; Los Angeles, CA, USA; Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott looks on during today

The Lakers are on paper, much better than the squad put forth last season.

The team will look to improve on their 21-61 record (franchise worst) and perhaps make a playoff push behind a strong (and healthy) season from Kobe Bryant.

Defensively, the team should improve with the addition of Roy Hibbert.

The big man is only two years removed from his All-Star selection, and was the key anchor behind Indiana’s defense.

The younger players will look to develop an on-court chemistry in order to take the Lakers to new heights, as well as show that all the trust put in them by the organization isn’t for nothing.

Best case scenario: The Lakers make the playoffs as the seventh or eighth seed.

Worst case scenario: The Lakers fall short and hope to retain their top-three pick.
