Now that we know Kobe will retire at the end of the season, it will be interesting to see how the team plays its final 66 games.

What I would like to envision is that the team plays with more intensity in order to send Kobe off in positive fashion.

However, if the first 16 games are any indication, the Lakers will continue to struggle and end the season with a worst record than the 2014/15 season.

With 13 of their next 17 games on the road, the Lakers can only hope for a better month of December.

Kobe’s retirement will be a continuous topic of discussion as the season progresses and if he continues to play the way he does, analysts will suggest that Kobe retires now:

That was five days ago.

This coming week will be interesting as analysts will continue to chime in on Bryant and the Lakers.

However, outside distractions is the last thing the Lakers need right now.

With all the struggles the team has been facing in terms of overall poor play, Kobe’s retirement should not even be a topic of discussion amongst players.

It would be best for the coaching staff to keep developing their young core, and making sure Kobe stays healthy.
