A good night for Kobe is different now than it was a few years ago.  But, on this night the Black Mamba found a bit of his old magic to get the Lakers their third victory of the season.

Bryant delivered 31 points, including two go-ahead jumpers in the fourth quarter to help lift the purple and gold past Washington.

While not a statistically brilliant game for the Mamba, the result did not matter as his play electrified the crowd in the nations capital.  The Wizards also played a video tribute to Bryant prior to the game.

Wizards guard Garrett Temple said “Basically, the whole damn crowd was behind him.”

John Wall was complimentary of Bryant’s play, stating “To me, I think he can play five more years.”
