Arizona’s 38-8 thrashing of Green Bay signaled that the Carson Palmer era in Arizona is legitimate, not some sort of magical fluke.

Palmer had the birds on the right flight last season before he was forced to sit out due to injury. Following his absence, Arizona crumbled to then-terrible Carolina in the opening round.

Getting the top spot in the NFC is something that is now within their grasp, should they beat the Seahawks and get help from the Bucs on Sunday.

In that case, the road to the Super Bowl is going to get that much tougher.

It would’ve been one thing to have to go into Carolina, but going to the desert is something teams are wanting to avoid at all costs.

For whatever reason, that stadium has untapped potential from last season.

It hosted Super Bowl XLIX, a game in which in the Cardinals could’ve made it to if Palmer was healthy — but now they look to reach their new destination in Santa Clara.

Everything is clicking on all cylinders for the Cardinals, who two losses come against teams that were reckless in those games and had nothing to lose.

The Rams just so happened to be the best divisional team in the NFC West, while the Steelers gave the Cardinals a run for their money but might lose a shot at the playoffs thanks to the resurgent Jets.

So I don’t think Arizona is worried one bit moving forward.
