No Jamaal Charles? No problem.
No luck throwing to receivers last season for touchdowns? No problem.
Start the season 1-5? No problem.
The Kansas City Chiefs have heard it all and done it all the past nine weeks as they head into their season finale against the Oakland Raiders riding a nine-game winning streak.
Yeah, and for some reason they’re not making as much of a buzz as they should be.
Kansas City could easily finish the season 11-5 and enter the playoffs as the fifth seed.
If that ends up being the case, they’d play the Houston Texans (more than likely) — and we all know how that went to start the season.
Following that game, assuming Kansas City doesn’t have problems with Brandon Weeden — unless, of course, he has some powers that nobody knows about or sees coming — the rest of the AFC needs to be very afraid.
The Chiefs had the Patriots’ number last season, but failed to capitalize on it — don’t be so foolish to think they’d make that same mistake twice.
If the Jets/Steelers lost in the first round, then Kansas City would have to go up against the Patriots on the road.
At that point, the team would be riding an 11-game winning streak with still nothing to lose.
If that’s not dangerous, you need to re-think your definition of the word.
