Call me crazy, but the Redskins have nothing to lose.
This can make them incredibly dangerous when the playoffs are underway; even more so than you’d expect since they’ll get to host the wild card game.
It’s not likely at all that they’ll run away with any of the other NFC playoff participants, but I’d imagine it doesn’t hurt their confidence to see the Kirk Cousins experiment pay off.
Plus, DeSean Jackson is being used productively and finding his own rhythm, and we all know how explosive he can be when he gets going.
Think about it though — Redskins fans have waited long enough for a moment remotely close to this one.
Cousins is no savior, but if he keeps up good play, this will be the surprise team out of the gate.
It all comes down to whether they’ll choke or capitalize on the chance to host a playoff game with big time implications.
