On the opposite side of the offensive line comes the defensive line.

The Chargers defense as a unit wasn’t that good, but the defensive line I think was key to why the defensive struggled so bad. As they couldn’t get pressure or sack the quarterback.

The Raiders defensive line wasn’t to good either throughout the season as they were plagued with injuries, and lacked the depth to effectively put pressure on the quarterbacks.

Now you’re wondering.

How does that make sense if Khalil Mack is second in the league in sacks?

Well, I’m not including Aldon Smith or Khalil Mack to the defensive line for the reasons that their linebackers.

Before, you Raiders fans start to yell how stupid I am. I know both Smith and Mack our the best Raiders pass rushers, but they got my respect in the next section.

The Rams defensive line on the other hand is stacked with talent, and is lead by the most disruptive pass rusher besides J.J. Watt in Aaron Donald.

I could just stop there, but the Rams have even more talent around Donald which helps with pressure, and being the best defensive line of the group.

On a side note though.

If I would include Mack, Smith, and a healthy Justin Tuck with run stopper Dan Williams.

I believe they would have a more viscous line then the Rams.
