The Jack Adams Trophy race may be the most contested out of all the major NHL awards.

The three guys that I’ve listed are all deserving coaches and I wouldn’t be surprised if any of these guys took the award home.

Linda Ruff has the Dallas Stars thinking Stanley Cup, and Dave Tippett has the Arizona Coyotes thinking playoffs, but the most amazing job has to be down in Florida with bench-boss Gerard Gallant and the Panthers.

If you would’ve said that a team from Florida would be sitting atop the Atlantic Division halfway through the ’15-’16 regular season, every single person would’ve told you that it’s the Tampa Bay Lightning.

While the Lightning sit in 4th, it’s the Panthers who lead the Atlantic with 57 points.

The Panthers are fresh off a franchise record 12-game win streak and have not lost a game in regulation in over a month.
