It Takes Two To Tango

I say no, Jordan Clarkson will not fall victim to what happened to Monta Ellis with the Warriors.

I see Clarkson and Russell working together in time alongside Julius Randle as well.

Think about it — why else would they draft a shooting guard, power forward, and a point guard?

They drafted the shooting guard in Clarkson for when Kobe leaves so they have a player who can shoot when needed and pass as well.

Julius Randle is the big man they drafted for the paint until they were able to get someone who mans the inside.

Then they acquired Hibbert in a trade who is the center for the Lakers.

Randle is able to stretch the defense out to help open up the lanes for Clarkson and Russel to drive in the paint if no one is open to pass to.

The Lakers have had a problem with finding a true point guard, a facilitator since Derek Fisher retired and started his coaching career.

This why they drafted D’Angelo Russell in 2014/2015.

He is a true point guard and yes he is only 19 years of age.

All that means is as long as he can stay healthy his career in front of him is a long one similar to Fisher and Bryant.

Russell, Clarkson, and Randle are the star trio for the Lakers in the future.

They are the foundation that will help guide them to playoffs and championships in the next couple of years

Bass, Hibbert, and Williams are their to support and help guide them there.

My one difference maker who I think can actually be the star for the Lakers in the future or the leader is someone  who everyone is comparing to Lamar Odom and it is Larry Nance Jr.

Instead of having a star trio we could have a star quadruple team.

He has shown flashes of raw talent and skill to assist with Lakers winning in the future.

He could be the star we are all talking about in the next few years.

With that said,

The Lakers are set up for success in the future.

They are focusing on rebuilding and teaching the young players they to play together.

All this team needs now is time.

I say time because with time, they will build chemistry, craft their skills and learn to pass the ball to each other instead of being a ball hog and attempting to do everything themselves.

When they can learn to pass the ball toe each other as the San Antonio Spurs do then they will need someone or multiple to people to be able to shoot the last shot of the game.

If they can’t find someone who wants the ball in the end of the game for the Last shot they will be like Heat and Cavaliers; when Lebron was on those teams in the past.

In due time the team will come together, have chemistry, know each others game and after they learn to pass the ball and know who wants take the last shot of the game they will have great success.
