Although the Ducks have certainly turned things around of late, the fact remains that they were one of the biggest disappointments to start the season.

On a team resume that includes leading the lead league in scoring and a trip to the Conference Finals all within 2 years, it was hard to explain why the Ducks were so awful to start the year.

Okay, it’s not exactly hard to explain; they just couldn’t score.

At all.

Blame it on Ryan Getzlaf’s appendix or whatever you want, the Ducks offense has certainly been an issue this year.

Their strong defensive play and great goaltending has kept them within striking distance of the playoffs, but if the Ducks are going to the reach the postseason, they need to make a move to bolster that anemic offense.
