You almost had to know that Gibson was going to get this right?

While I have no doubt that Connor McDavid would’ve been in this conversation had he not been injured and Max Domi has been every bit as good as advertised, I’ll still take Gibson in this spot.

Through his aforementioned 18 starts, he sports a 1.91 GAA and a .923 SV%.

Gibson has also been the big reason why the Anaheim Ducks have started to climb out of the basement of the Pacific Division.
