There’s a big reason why the Los Angeles Kings are among the leaders of the goals allowed category — their 113 goals allowed through 49 games is good enough for 4th best in the entire league.

The Kings are also 1 of only 4 teams to enter the All-Star break with at least 30 wins. Although their defensive play deserves a lot of praise, it’s the man between the pipes that keeps the Kings steamrolling through the regular season.

Jonathan Quick has been stellar so far in ’15-’16 with a stat line of 26-11-2, a .919 SV%, and a 2.19 GAA. All of Quick’s stats rank in the top 10 for Western Conference goalies, but most are well within the top 5.
