Much like your little brother who you ‘gift’ the 1st pick to in any backyard games, the Oilers have softened us up with their lovable losers rhetoric for the better half of this decade.

While the previous administration received a lot of deserved mockery, the new regime that rules over Edmonton has the gears finally turning forward.

This team is absolutely loaded going forward, with room to make just about any deal they could possibly imagine. With pieces like Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Leon Draisaitl, Nail Yakupov, Darnell Nurse, and of course the golden child, Connor McDavid, the next time the Oilers win this award, the script will be flipped and it finally won’t be a shock that the Oilers are good again.
