The Case For Nick Foles

Last season went exactly how a guy like Nick Foles wouldn’t want it to go.

After being the center of a major trade that sent former Ram Sam Bradford to Philadelphia and brought him to St. Louis/Los Angles, he hasn’t lived up to the hype at all.

In 11 games this past season, Foles averaged a QBR of 30 and overall rating of 69–  both career-worsts.

  • He also had a career-low in completion percentage at 56.4% and tied career-highs with ten interceptions and three fumbles throughout the course of the year.

    That was despite averaging the most passing attempts (337) he’s had since coming into the league in 2012 with the Eagles.

    What makes things even worse for Foles is that the whole NFL-to-LA speculation throughout last year overshadowed his problems and drowned him into the background instead of making him the focus of the franchise.

    In short, the Rams had every right to try and ignore him the way he was playing.

    In the camps coming shortly, assuming that no trade is in the works or takes place before things get serious, it’ll be up to Foles, and him alone, to answer the question of who will start for the Rams in Los Angeles.

    He must be sure to give his all and earn it back, though, because Case Keenum will not go away lightly:
