Kevin Hogan and the Stanford Cardinal won the PAC 12 Championship this year with a great team.

Andrew Luck quarterback for Indianapolis Colts played for the Cardinal’s.

His play has transferred from college to the professional level.

He has done good every year including his outstanding rookie year, taking over for a franchise where their last great quarterback was hall of fame Peyton Manning.

Luck was sidelined with injuries last year and didn’t get to play the second half of the season.

Hogan has this on his side that the quarterback before him at Stanford is doing well in the NFL.

There have been questions can Hogan do well in the next level.

My answer is yes partly because if you look at the talent in the NFL from Stanford there are great players.

He led his team to a near perfect season and had a great supporting cast.

Going to the right team with a good defense and good supporting cast on offense; he will be fine.

He won’t start right away for the team he gets drafted to because the organization will develop him for one season.

This is the best move for him and for all the quarterbacks going to teams that don’t need a quarterback immediately but in the future.

Kevin Hogan went in the 5th round to the Kansas City Chiefs as the 162 pick.

He got drafted and to a team with a playoff winning coach in Andy Reid.

This is perfect for Kevin Hogan.

The Chiefs acquired the pick from the Seattle Seahawks.

Alex Smith is still the starting quarterback and this is a good mentor for Hogan.

When Smith is towards the end of his career Hogan will be developed and be the franchise starting quarterback when Alex retires.
