2016 NFL Draft: Grading the selections of Los Angeles
By Dylan Thomas
Pharoh Cooper
The second of the Rams’ 4th round picks went on another weapon for Goff in wide receiver Pharoh Cooper.
Cooper is best used as a slot receiver, which the Rams already have in Tavin Austin. He’s more quick than fast but he does lack the height at 5’11.
But if the Rams can find ways to get Cooper the football, his quickness and ability to create YAC will make him a threat on any given Sunday.
His quickness allows him to seem he a make quick cuts without losing speed. His lack of size will hurt and make him more of a slot receiver.
He wasn’t asked to run a full route tree in South Carolina, and he should be a contributor, at least in his rookie year, as a backup slot receiver behind Austin.
Draft Grade: C+
