Paul George headlines an interesting list of possibilities for Los Angeles in the latest Lakers rumors.

The next free agency period in the NBA begins in July, but now that the Indiana Pacers are out of playoff contention after being eliminated in seven games at the hands of the Toronto Raptors, the details surrounding where Paul George will end up are getting plenty of attention.

Paul George did all he could in the first round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs, but even his best efforts weren’t enough to drag his team with him into the second round and beyond.

Ironically, Los Angeles could have their eyes on a star from the other side of the Pacers-Raptors series in Toronto’s DeMar DeRozan.

Other big time players that could be targeted by the Lakers include LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Kevin Durant, among others.

The franchise’s method of approaching or convincing these free agents to come to play with the core that they have in D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, and others is still up in the air — but we have a good guess.

Rumor has it though that Los Angeles could be up for trading their top draft selection once their spot is confirmed at the NBA Draft Lottery in two weeks.

Since landing a big name is key to Los Angeles being able to win meaningful, even playoff, games in the near and immediate future, here’s a look at the free agents the team could be looking at and whether or not they would be a fit with the Lakers.
