Thinking in terms of color coordination and the correlation to one of the biggest sports cities in the United States,  putting Snapchat on the black jerseys might make sense for the Lakers.

The Stubhub deal with Philadelphia allowed for the blue and white on the jerseys to not be tampered with, and knowing how important the colors of the Lakers are to the franchise’s identity, making a deal with a company that doesn’t go with the theme wouldn’t really make sense.

While the yellow logo would stand out best on the black jersey, the irony comes into play if you flip back to the regular season incident between D’Angelo Russell and Nick Young.

This could be the reason that a deal with Snapchat doesn’t end up happening, but if bygones are bygones, the team should be able to put that behind them.

The advertisement could also work with the purple road jerseys, but serving as more of the special occasion sponsor might fit Snapchat best.
