The Young Core

Should the Lakers not package their young core in a trade with the number two pick, the Lakers will have on their roster D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle, Larry Nance, Jr., and whomever is left at number two between Simmons and Ingram.

With a foundation in place, the sky is the limit for the young Lakers.

Sure, it will take time to develop and build on-court chemistry but with Luke Walton in charge, the Lakers will be fun to watch again, according to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com:

The Lakers will have players that can play the up-tempo offense that Luke wants to run, along with some free-agents. If the kids are having fun and enjoying playing basketball, who’s to say they won’t be able to surprise us this year?

The Lakers have a great up-and-coming coach in Luke Walton and a young core, I’m getting my popcorn ready!
