Power Forward/Center out of LSU Ben Simmons.

Simmons was a favorite to go first overall, however the Celtics fit his and their suit more.

Here he will be able develop over the summer and become a starter as he would be versatile center for them.

He is mix of Olynk, Johnson, and Sullinger, all in one. He is fast, strong, and can hold his own from outside the paint.

They made the playoff this year as the 5th seed in a tightly contested Eastern Conference and lost in 6 games.

Making it this far is good progress for them as they are finishing up their rebuilding process.

Their next step is drafting a player who can help them win championships.

The Boston Celtics have plenty of skill players in the backcourt, they need some players in the front court.

They need a versatile big man to compliment their current big men Amir Johnson and Jared Sullinger, who crash the boards.

Simmons does that and he can he can handle the ball well for a power forward/center.

He could be one of the next players that helps them win a playoff series, make the championship, and be contenders for the Finals.

The Celtics are almost where they want to be, plus they have all the right pieces in place as well.

Brad Stevens and Danny Ainge have done a tremendous job.
