Head Coach Luke Walton and the Lakers organization made the right moves in the 2016 NBA Draft, to continue moving in the proper direction.

The second reason they are headed in the right direction is because the players they selected in the NBA Draft. They had 2 picks in the draft, with the number 2 overall pick they drafted Brandon Ingram out of Duke University, and Ivica Zubac from Croatia with the 32nd pick in the draft.

Walton did a good job addressing the Lakers needs instantly through the draft.

Ingram is a small forward who can play the power forward position when called upon to. He is not quite Kobe Bryants replacement because of his position, but many critics and fans say he is, by means of one of the next great Laker superstars in the future to come.

Ironically enough, he will taking Kobe Bryants’ Locker.

Speaking of future Laker superstars the Lakers had to make sure they kept their young core of players, therefore they can continue to have a successful developmental summer and season.
