Marreese Speights role with LA will be interesting and possibly a little bit of a change from Golden State.
He will be to help with the culture change in the locker room, spread the floor on the court, and hopefully help move the Clippers past their second round purgatory in the playoffs that they are in.
Marreese Speights Ex-Warrior has joined the Los Angeles Clippers for the 2016/2017 NBA Season on the veterans minimum deal.
One reason he left is because the Warriors need to make room with their cap space to sign Kevin Durant to the team.
The Warriors have lost about half of their 2015 NBA Finals Championship roster due to the Durant signing.
For some of these players, moving on to new teams can go two ways for them, positive or negative.
In this particular case with Marreese Speights moving on to a new team is a positive step in his career.

Marreese Speights will replace previous Clippers back up center Cole Aldrich, who left for the Minnesota Timberwolves in free agency.
Doc will be able to use Speights in his gameplan in many different ways than he could have used Aldrich.
For example, some qualities Marreese Speights has is his ability to shoot the ball especially from downtown and is a very good free throw shooter. Doc will be able to sub Speights in for Jordan for late game free throw situations. He is another great board crasher and most of all he hustles every play and gives his all every time he is on the court.
One last quality I forgot to mention that is important to the Clippers, is that he can pass the ball very well for a center.
Yes Marreese Speights is a center, but when on the floor they will be able to use him to spread the floor and give Griffin the chance to post-up defenders one on one.
He plays very well in the pick and roll offense. This will help the Clippers greatly as he can shoot off the screen.
Not only that, but Speights can help Jordan improve his free throw shooting and also mentor rookie Diamond Stone, along with Deandre Jordan.
Marreese Speights role with LA will be interesting as he brings Championship experience to the ball club.
He fits the Clipper mentality of winning, physical, and passing attitude of the Clippers organization.
The Clippers do not really need any new players on the team, they just need to stay healthy. The only reason they picked up Marreese Speights is because Aldrich left.
Marreese Speights role will be able to help change the mentality of the Clippers. Not only do they need to stay healthy, but they need to have determination that they can advance far into the playoffs. Sleights will be they guy help to bring that attitude and determination to the team. Once the team has that mentality engraved in them they will advance far into the playoffs.
Lob City is hoping he can teach the Clippers how to make it past the second round of playoffs and all the way to the Finals.
Marreese Speights can be the guy that helps and just his presence in the locker room, on the bench, and court will help the team greatly.
