Clippers Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Blake Griffin

Oklahoma City Thunder
Kevin Durant leaving Oklahoma City shook everyone in the basketball world to their core, but in reality it may be what was best for both players, especially Russell Westbrook.
We’ve seen glimpses of what Westbrook can do when the team is under his complete control with Durant resting or injured and it hasn’t been all bad.
According to statistics provided by Stat Muse, it’s clear that there’s plenty of upside to Westbrook running things on his own.
With Durant in the picture, Westbrook averaged 20.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game, while his numbers without Durant around were even higher.
In fact, Westbrook’s point average rose a strong eight points, with improvements in all other statistical categories as well.
Blake Griffin fits in the picture not as a replacement for Durant, but rather as a supplement for Westbrook.
Instead of Westbrook having to play second fiddle to whatever Durant wants to do with the ball, the absence of the former league MVP allows for the explosive point guard to do what he wills on offense and Blake Griffin can help facilitate that.
