If nothing else this season, the Los Angeles Dodgers have shown they did a good job in selecting Dave Roberts to be the next manager of the franchise.

Don Mattingly was known for his teams choking in the playoffs despite decent regular seasons and division titles.

Another area that Roberts has shown promise in is the way in which he manages the bullpen.

For Los Angeles, there has been plenty of bullpen disappointment in playoff appearances of the past, but Game 5 shouldn’t be anywhere near that.

If Rich Hill can put his team in a good enough position to win, it’s safe to say that Dave Roberts can be trusted with how to close out an elimination game on the road.

The winner of Game 5 will have their work cut out for them though, as the Chicago Cubs await them on the other side.
