2016 NBA Predictions: A look at each team in the league
By Keith Rivas
With the new season around the corner, it’s time to break down my 2016 NBA predictions.
The new year of basketball is almost upon us, and the league is going to be much different than even a year ago.
In the off-season, the biggest story was the departure of Kevin Durant from Oklahoma City to Golden State. We saw the Warriors set an NBA record for wins in a season (73), and now they’ve added a former league MVP to the roster.
Los Angeles also had some major shifts from within. New head coach Luke Walton was given the role of head coach in hopes that he can figure the young team out.
So far, so good.
Walton replaced a struggling Byron Scott, who seemed to do almost everything the wrong way — or at least the hard way.
A lack of chemistry was one of the Lakers’ biggest woes last year, and Walton is the right man for the job to make things right.
The Clippers head into another season with championship aspirations, but not much else to show for it. Blake Griffin has to stay healthy for more than just some or even most of the season, and Chris Paul can’t let his foot off the gas.
Potentially, Doc Rivers could watch his squad fall apart if they don’t win a title this time around.
Griffin becomes a free agent at the end of the season, so they have to keep that in mind if they want him to stay put.
With that intro in mind, here’s a look at each of the teams followed by playoff and divisional predictions.
