For the Indiana Pacers, a trip to the playoffs isn’t enough to satisfy expectations in 2016.

Coming off of a year in which the team made the postseason as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference but failed to do much more than that, head coach Frank Vogel was shown the door.

Other changes included picking up point guard Jeff Teague, who will start alongside Paul George, Monta Ellis, Thaddeus Young, and Myles Turner.

The Detroit Pistons put plenty of pressure on the Pacers towards the end of the season, coming within one game of making Indiana drop in the standings.

Teague’s mobility at point guard can help the flow of the offense, but if Paul George doesn’t maintain superstar numbers, the team won’t do much.

The key for Indiana to have a successful season comes down to how they start.

If their season begins poorly, we can expect it to end poorly — it’s that simple.

But hey, at least it’ll be interesting to watch.
