2016 NBA Predictions: A look at each team in the league

Sacramento Kings
Talk about conflict of interest.
You can’t have a conversation about the state of basketball in Sacramento without bringing up both culture shock and chaos.
Rudy Gay was recently quoted as describing where he plays as “basketball hell” (CBS Sports), while fellow star DeMarcus Cousins said that he considers Sacramento “home” (Sirius XM).
So which is it?
Well, despite the ever apparent miscommunication and discomfort within the team, the Kings really didn’t do terrible on offense last year.
In fact, they found themselves in the top three when it came to team scoring, behind only Golden State and Oklahoma City.
Not bad company if you ask me.
While their offensive game was strong, it was their defensive play that killed them.
Dead last in the NBA on defense won’t win you too many games, no matter how many points your own team puts up.
Sacramento allowed 109 points per game, which was a point and half worse than the woeful Philadelphia 76ers.
If that’s not something to watch for, I don’t know what is.
The best news for the Kings is that they’ll have a new head coach to try and figure things out, as they’ve tried doing in Los Angeles with the Lakers.
Dave Joerger is the new man on the block in Sacramento, coming from a tenure with Memphis and replacing George Karl in a hopeful revival.
But it won’t be enough to do more than get through the regular season.
Season Prediction: (35-47), 5th in Pacific
