2016 NBA Predictions: A look at each team in the league
By Keith Rivas
Denver Nuggets
Another team on the outside looking in last year was the Denver Nuggets.
Winners of only 33 games, the Nuggets found a way to win enough to make some, but not enough, noise out west.
Similar to the situation facing the Timberwolves, being in a rough division has held them back from the playoffs.
Oklahoma CIty, Portland, and most recently Utah have made a playoff run part of their short-term goals — Denver just can’t catch up.
Emmanuel Mudiay is the man to watch for the Nuggets, as he continues to show that he can deliver as he matures.
Mudiay put up averages of 12.8 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game last year.
Other than their point guard, Denver has room for improvement on defense as their next point of focus.
Standing with the bottom third of the league, the Nuggets didn’t stop opposing offenses much, giving up 105 points per night.
That’s not going to get it done, so until that changes, don’t expect their postseason chances to change much.
Season Prediction: (30-52), 5th in Northwest
