Nick Young Productive As A Starter
Nick Young has been proving through three games he is productive as a starter averaging 10 points per game.
Yes the Lakers have lost their last two games, yet they have shown signs of growth in each of those losses. In their loss to the Thunder they were able to stay with them the entire game, until Russell Westbrook carried the game away. He earned a triple-double helping lifting the Thunder past the Lakers.
This Lakers team showed wonderful signs of growth. They were neck and neck until the 4th quarter arrived. Despite losing, on the stats sheet they were close with their opponent. Nick Young also known as Swaggy P made many key 3s in the game. Although they lost he came up big when it mattered the most to give his team a chance to win.
Nick Young ended the night with 16 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals. His production on offense is decent. He must work on being productive on defense if the Lakers are going to have a chance to compete at the end of the season.
This applies to the entire team as well. There has been times where Nick Young may not produce on the stats sheet, but he makes the hustle plays. He makes the plays in key moments whether on defense or on offense. This player is a good player to have on your team, whether he starts or comes off the bench.
Last season Nick Young came off the bench multiple games providing a spark for the team. One game in particular that comes to mind is when they defeated the Warriors. He made a few three-pointers off the bench.
This season he seems to be more productive as a starter. He is flowing on offense in the scoring department. The next goal is for him to work on having more assists in the game.
