Stopping Steph Curry isn’t the answer

Knowing what Steph Curry is capable of, the logical answer when playing his team seems simple — shut him down.

Unfortunately, Los Angeles learned the hard way that he’s just part of the problem.

Curry, a two-time league MVP, had his second game at Staples Center this season with a made three-pointer. Going 0-8 from beyond the arc, Curry’s mishaps from deep allowed for other Warriors to shine.

In all irony, it wasn’t even just a bad three-point performance by Curry, but the whole Golden State team. As a squad, they made just seven treys on 30 attempts for the whole night.

While Los Angeles did hold Curry to under 20 points (19), they got burned because they couldn’t figure out how to take advantage of a Curry-less offense.

If they can’t find a way to shut Curry and his teammates down and avoid a narrow approach to Golden State, they’re in some real trouble.
