Miami Marlins

Believe it or not, the Marlins could actually be the best team to take Jansen out of Los Angeles.

As reported by ESPN, Miami has made an offer that would be hard to pass up for anyone in Jansen’s position. The offer sits at five years and over $80 million.

In addition to that kind of stable offer on the table, it’s a chance to reunite with some familiar faces.

Jansen would be under manager Don Mattingly again, as the Marlins made sure to snag him after Los Angeles let him go.

Two former teammates are also in Florida. Catcher A.J. Ellis recently joined the Marlins after a short stint in Philadelphia and Dee Gordon is part of the immediate future that Jansen could join forces in.

Miami showed a lot of improvement last year, but that was put to the side after losing pitcher Jose Fernandez in tragic fashion mid-season.

Signing Jansen would be a step in the right direction for the team, but it could cause chaos in Los Angeles.
